Stepper Motors

Stepper motors are brushless electric DC motors that can be positioned.

They are a good choice for many roebotics applications and they fall somewhere between a DC motor and a servo.

They are called stepper motors because each pulse of electricty moves the motor one step.

They have multiple coils positioned into groups called phases.
